Hamburger SV - FSV Mainz 05
Mainz have steadily fallen away after a decent start and they travel to a Hamburg side looking to get out of the relegation zone once again this weekend.
Hamburg's performances at home have verged on "good" since Joe Zinnbauer took over in September. Despite fading badly after half time at Augsburg last weekend, they should - in theory, have enough here for three points. Odds of 2.15 for the home win represent legitimate doubt about their mental toughness and tactical coherence, however. A safer bet would be 1.72 for both teams to score, in my view.
Eintracht Frankfurt - Werder Bremen
Sunday afternoon will be a poignant one for Thomas Schaaf as it's just over 18 months since Schaaf ended his 14 year coaching reign at Werder Bremen. Now he faces them for the first time since leaving.
Eintracht come into the game in reasonable form after unexpected wins over Gladbach and Borussia Dortmund. Werder meanwhile had their biggest victory in just over two years last weekend when they thrashed Paderborn 4-0. Werder have improved significantly under Viktor Skripnik but his squad is low on quality. Schaaf may just shade it on Sunday. Eintracht are 1.90 to win.
