Borussia Dortmund - Hoffenheim
“I understand how the relegation battle works,” said Jürgen Klopp this week. Do his players, too?
Dortmund are now bottom of the table, but they are statistically still one of the best teams in the league when it comes to creating chances and not conceding opportunities to the opposition. Surely their luck must change soon? Hoffenheim are tricky to play against, however - especially when they’re the away team.
Captain Mats Hummels is back in contention for a place in the staring XI along with Kuba Blaszczykowski. Klopp tried out playing with Ilkay Gündogan in the No. 10 slot in practice this week - maybe not a bad plan to add a bit more solidity in central midfield with two holding players behind him.
BVB will try to make the most of the floodlight atmosphere and support in the Signal Iduna Park and will attempt to start the game at 100mph.
Their problem has been seeing out games in the second half but at 1.98, for them to be ahead before the break looks a juicy bet here.
