FC Augsburg - Schalke 04
Augsburg secured an unlikely qualification spot in the Europa League knockout rounds on Thursday night with a 3-1 win in Belgrade. That result should spur them on as they take on Schalke who were also victorious in their Europa League game against Asteras Tripolis. André Breitenreiter’s side look like they’re getting back on track after their win in the Bundesliga last weekend too.
Augsburg are looking a bit light defensively meanwhile. Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker went off injured in Serbia whilst captain Paul Verhaegh is suspended for Schalke’s visit. Those absences might prove costly, so back the away side to win here at 2.70.
Borussia Dortmund - Eintracht Frankfurt
The likes of Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang didn’t start against PAOK on Thursday night but it was still a surprise to see Dortmund fall to their first home defeat of the season. Both should return to the starting line up for the visit of Eintracht Frankfurt – and that isn’t good news for the already ailing away side who have only one win in their last twelve in all competitions.
Armin Veh will also be without the suspended trio of Carlos Zambrano, Marco Russ and Marc Stendera. All signs point towards a few goals for Dortmund here, with over 3.5 for Thomas Tuchel’s side at 2.35.
