The 5 Best Bets For Tuesday’s Champions League Matches: Arsenal To Fire vs. Bayern

Arsenal – Bayern Munich: Both Teams To Score – 1.65

We’ll start off with a banker, shall we?

As the odds suggest, goals at both ends look a given at the Emirates Stadium, where everything is pointing to both Arsenal and Bayern Munich netting on a night when the Gunners dare not lose.

The thing is, though, Bayern have won every single match that they’ve played this season, and with that in mind the 3.75 available on the visitors winning whilst also conceding at least once looks tempting, but let’s play it safe and kick off with a guaranteed winner, shall we?

Zenit St Petersburg – Lyon: Zenit To Win – 1.95

After two wins from their opening two group games, Zenit St Petersburg will be chasing history against Lyon.

Never before have they won their opening three matches of a Champions League campaign, and with Andre Villas-Boas determined to make a mark on Europe in his final season with the Russians before moving on again, the Portuguese will be targeting this clash with a below-par and injury-afflicted Lyon as the perfect chance for another three points.

Dinamo Zagreb – Olympiakos: Olympiakos To Win – 2.65

This is a meeting of the two beneficiaries of Arsenal’s shambolic efforts in Group F, from which qualification to the knockout stages would suddenly home into the view for the winner.

Both beat the Gunners, of course, but it was Olympiakos who did it more impressively; blunting the hosts at the Emirates Stadium with a display of steel and style masterminded by the former Leicester City (and Real Madrid and Inter Milan) midfielder Esteban Cambiasso.

The Greeks traditionally don’t travel well in the Champions League, but that win in London should have given them confidence.

Dynamo Kiev – Chelsea: Diego Costa To Score At Any Time – 2.95

The Chelsea gamefaces were back on in the victory over Aston Villa at the weekend, which whilst not exactly free-flowing did at least feature a goalscoring display from the returning Diego Costa.

The belief that Chelsea are simply just too good to allow their current malaise to continue will come under examination over the next week with a Premier League trip to West Ham to follow this assignment in Kiev, but Costa has at least got his shooting boots back and he’ll fancy finding the net here.

Bayer Leverkusen – Roma: Over 3.5 Goals – 3.10

The biggest odds recommendation of the evening comes in Germany, where the meeting of Bayer Leverkusen and Roma looks guaranteed to have goals in it.

Leverkusen put four past BATE on their opening night in this competition, whilst Roma have shrugged off the absences of some big name forwards to net 14 times in their last four games all told.

Brace yourselves.
