Champions League Betting: Group C Tips

Milan 2.10, the draw 3.30, Malaga 3.50 (19:45 kick-off)

In what promises to be one of the matches of the round, Malaga bring their 100% Champions League record to the San Siro. The Spanish side have been the surprise package of the competition so far, keeping three clean sheets and impressing with their neat attacking play. Milan have been rather less convincing, but will be boosted by their 5-1 win against Chievo on Saturday.

Despite Malaga's solid defence, Milan will expect to score on home soil. Given the Rossoneri have only kept two clean sheets all season, both teams to score (1.70) looks like the banker for this game. The odds on the draw also appeal, while over 3.5 goals (3.30) is another option.

Stephan El Shaawary has been in sparkling form for Max Allegri's side recently, scoring in his last three games.  Javier Saviola, young schemer Isco and the evergreen Joaquin are the picks for Malaga.

Score prediction: Milan 2-2 Malaga (15.00)

Anderlecht 2.65, the draw 3.30, Zenit St Petersburg 2.60 (19:45 kick-off)

One of the more low-key match-ups of the week, this game is a must-win for both sides. Anderlecht are bottom of Group C with just one point to their name, while Zenit have fared little better, conceding three against Malaga and Milan. Domestically, though, both teams are going along nicely, suggesting the issue is one of Champions League class rather than poor form.

The outright odds on Zenit look appealing, given that their squad contains rather more star quality than Anderlecht's. Alternatively, to take the stalemate out of the equation, back Zenit on the draw no bet market at 1.84.

Brazilian winger Hulk is out injured for Zenit, but they still have plenty of players capable of finding the net. Striker Alexandr Kerzhakov (6.50 to score first) is their primary threat, but the timely runs of Roman Shirokov (5.00 anytime) make him the value pick. For the hosts, Tom De Sutter (3.05 anytime) has racked up five goals in his last two games.

Score prediction: Anderlecht 1-2 Zenit (11.00)
