Champions League Betting: Group F Tips

BATE 3.40, the draw 3.40, Valencia 2.15 (19:45 kick-off)

Valencia may have substantial European pedigree, and are far more of a household name than BATE, but on the form book alone the hosts are a great value bet on Tuesday night. Stunning back-to-back wins over Lille and Bayern Munich have put the Belarusian side top of Group F, and given them a great chance of reaching the knockout stages for the first time.

Valencia have been no slouches themselves - picking up a win over Lille and pushing Bayern - but a trip to Minsk is a tricky proposition. Bayern aside, the likes of Milan and Juventus have been unable to pick up maximum points at Stadyen Dynama, indicating that the long journey and cold conditions could have a part to play. While the outright BATE win is tempting, it may be wise to back the hosts in the Draw No Bet market, with 2.40 an excellent price.

Striker Vitali Rodionov has found the net in both of BATE's matches so far, and will be keen to repeat the trick against the Spanish side. For Valencia, midfielder Sofiane Feghouli bags plenty of goals from midfield and could be worth a punt.

Score prediction: BATE 2-1 Valencia (12.50)

Lille 7.00, the draw 4.20, Bayern Munich 1.47 (19.45 kick-off)

The French side are still looking for their first points in the group, but seem unlikely to earn them this Tuesday, when in-form Bayern come to town. The shock loss to BATE aside, the German giants have a stunning recent record, keeping six clean sheets in their last seven games and approaching their unstoppable best in attack.

Given Lille's recent travails - domestically as well as in Europe - Bayern are understandable favourites. The 2.10 available on the visitors to be leading at half-time and full-time looks a decent bet, as does over 2.5 goals at 1.85, given the attacking options at Jupp Heynckes' disposal.

With Mario Gomez still sidelined, Croatian forward Mario Mandzukic is likely to lead the line for the Bavarians, and is at a reasonable 4.00 to open the scoring. Better value is provided by Tony Kroos (10.00 to score first, 4.00 anytime), who scored two fine goals for Germany during the international break.

Score prediction: Lille 1-3 Bayern (14.00)
