All eyes were in Nyon this morning as the draw for the UEFA Champions League was made. It was good news for the favourites, who all managed to avoid one another. Here are the quarter-final match-ups:
Bayern Munich v Juventus
The tie of the round pits the German giants against the champions of Italy. Both sides are well known for being defensively solid, meaning this will certainly have the air of a tense European clash.
Paris Saint-Germain v Barcelona
One man will be the focus of attention here. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to face his former club, whom he left acrimoniously after falling out with Pep Guardiola. The big Swede is suspended for the first leg, however.
Galatasaray v Real Madrid
Plenty of storylines in this one: Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder facing Jose Mourinho, under whom they both flourished; Sneijder and Hamit Altintop playing their former club; Cristiano Ronaldo preparing to face the legend that is Emmannuel Eboue. You can almost taste the excitement.
Malaga v Borussia Dortmund
Dortmund may be way off the pace in Germany but have been thoroughly impressive in Europe. They will have been pleased to draw Malaga - for all their pluck, one senses that the semi-finals may be a step too far for Manuel Pellegrini's men.
