How Twitter Reacted To England's Squad For Euro 2016

Roy Hodgson placed himself firmly in the firing line of every bedroom manager as he announced his squad to travel to France to gloriously fail, I mean superbly win, the European Championship.

The Three Lions boss threw a curve ball by announcing a provisional 26-man squad. It contained just seven defenders, a massive 11 midfielders and some young kid called Marcus Rashford. Here’s how the Twitterati reacted to today’s squad.


Much of the chat was of the inclusion of United sensation Marcus Rashford:


 Another surprise inclusion was that of Andros Townsend, who has hugely impressed since joining Newcastle from Tottenham:


The absence of Mark Noble, despite being hugely obvious was met with disdain by West Ham fans, who dream of adding a Euros to the World Cup they won back in 1966. Adam Virgo does, however, share their opinion:
