European Football Results: Juventus celebrate Serie A title win

Juventus finally put the rest of Serie A out of their misery, sealing the Italian title with three games to spare. The Old Lady beat Palermo 1-0 in front of their own fans, a result that confirmed their second Scudetto in as many years. Lazio finally shook of the dust with a 6-0 over Bologna, while Genoa moved clear of the relegation zone by thrashing Pescara. Inter's hopes of European football were dented by Napoli, who beat the Nerazzuri 3-1 thanks to an Edinson Cavani hat-trick (see below).

The two big guns both picked up victories in games with plenty of goals: Real Madrid beat Valladolid 4-3 at the Bernabeu (see below), while Barcelona came from behind to beat Betis 4-2. Valencia kept up the pressure on Real Sociedad (who play Getafe tonight) with a convincing win against Osasuna.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich both rotated heavily for the dress rehearsal for the Champions League final later this month. The match finished level, with Mario Gomez cancelling out Kevin Grosskreutz's opener (see below). Elsewhere there were wins for Schalke, Leverkusen and Freiburg, all of whom are on course to qualify for Europe next season.

PSG's 1-1 draw with Valenciennes means the Ligue 1 title still isn't won - but the side from the capital do have a seven-point lead with three games left. Marseille and Lyon picked up wins this weekend, while Saint-Etienne were overtaken by in-form Nice, who thrashed Rennes (see below).
