La Liga Betting: Buoyant Barcelona to Cruise Past Celta Vigo

Barcelona director Andoni Zubizarreta was pleased with his club’s win against Real Madrid, but played down the effect it would have on the league championship: "Nothing definitive happens in October. We would obviously rather be six points ahead, but there are a lot of games to play."

At Real Madrid they chose to focus on the man in the middle rather than the performance or the meaning of the outcome, "We didn’t deserve to lose. We have not been favoured in the key moments." remarked Los Blancos director Emilio Butragueno. Whilst Marcelo went a little further: "The ref hurt us tonight." he told newspaper AS.

Celta Vigo 12.50, a draw 6.20, Barcelona 1.20

Gerardo Martino's team were a little more clinical than their arch-rivals as they ran out 2-1 winners at the Camp Nou. Gerard Piqué surprised the media by making the start of the game, with Martino aiming to do the same with his selection of Lionel Messi on the right-hand side and Cesc Fàbregas in the 'false nine' position.

Goals from Neymar and Alexis Sánchez were the difference and the Brazilian was delighted with his opening goal - which took a slight deflection - on his Clásico debut: "I am very happy to score such a special goal, but I’m more pleased with the three points that we got." The finish from Sánchez was a superbly executed chip - described later by Sergio Busquets as "Beautifully crafted," - that deserved to win any game.

Not even the most optimistic of Celta fans would have predicted the result at Málaga. After scoring just one goal in their previous five matches, they hit five at La Rosaleda. It was only their second win of the season, a much-needed three points, that could prove invaluable come the end of the campaign.

Barça's last visit to Celta ended in a surprise 2-2 draw. Luis Enrique hosts his former club for the first time and would take that scoreline now if offered. It's 17.00 for him to get that result.

Score Prediction: Celta Vigo 0 Barcelona 3 (8.00)
