La Liga Betting: Lionel Messi set for goal record as Barcelona host Osasuna

Atlético Madrid are through to the quarter-finals of Europe's premier competition after a dominant display against Italian giants Milan. It has been a long and gruelling campaign for Diego Simeone's men, but the end is in sight and they are still in the battle for the two biggest prizes.

"We are a very hard working team and what we have achieved we have earned by working hard," suggests captain Gabi. "Without doubt this is a vital period for the league because there a few match-days left."

Málaga 12.00, a draw 6.00, Real Madrid 1.22 - Saturday 19.00 GMT

A couple of decent results against their relegation rivals has put Málaga three points clear of the drop zone. There's a long way to go, but Bernd Schuster's side will be keen to maintain that small momentum. That's easier said than done when faced with the frightening prospect of his old club.

It was a routine win for Madrid versus Levante. Carlo Ancelotti's team aren't making many mistakes and look like a team capable of getting stronger. The first choice line-up is beginning to pick itself, whilst those in reserve are contributing when called upon.

There's no longer a decision to be made at right-back after Álvaro Arbeloa was ruled out for the remainder of the season, Dani Carvajal will now make the position his own. Sergio Ramos is suspended as he managed to pick up a timely tenth yellow card, so the defender will now be ready for next week's contest with Barcelona.

Karim Benzema has six goals in six matches, for the Frenchman to open the scoring it's 4.60. In their last six matches Real have scored five times inside the opening quarter of an hour, and it's 2.75 for another early strike.

Los Blancos have four clean sheets in their last six matches in all competitions, and when faced with opposition in the lower part of the table they rarely concede. For the away team to win without conceding a goal it's 1.95.

Score Prediction: Málaga 0 Real Madrid 2 (7.50)

Barcelona 1.06, a draw 11.00, Osasuna 30.00 - Sunday 16.00 GMT

It was a display of control and patience for Barcelona as they bounced back from their surprise defeat to Real Valladolid with a win over Manchester City. "We have played a very good game. We were against a great opponent, who has a lot of talents, and wanted to have the ball but we have controlled every facet of the game," said sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta.

There was a sense of unity after the match from the players, which bodes well for the title run-in. "When we’re all together it’s difficult to beat us here," explained Dani Alves. He is right, only twice have they failed to win at the Camp Nou this season.

Lionel Messi was called upon to break the deadlock again, he made it eight in five matches in the Champions League. He now sits within a solitary goal of becoming Barcelona's all-time top scorer after Paulino Alcántara set the target at 369. There's every chance he will do it in this game and even surpass Alcántara, for Messi to score first it's 3.10.

Despite all their possession and dominance Barcelona are still more than vulnerable at set-pieces, with Osasuna a physical and imposing team, they could get some joy from this area. For the away team to score it's 2.40.

Score Prediction: Barcelona 4 Osasuna 1 (12.50)

Sevilla 1.42, a draw 4.60, Real Valladolid 7.00 - Sunday 18.00 GMT

It was a huge blow on Thursday evening as Sevilla lost the first leg of the Europa League Andalusian derby with Real Betis. They now travel to the Benito Villamarín next week requiring three goals without reply to progress.

Confidence is naturally high at Real Valladolid after their shock result last weekend and they believe that it can be the catalyst for survival.

"The win against Barcelona was one of the most important moments of my career," defender Stefan Mitrovic told Real Valladolid’s official website. "We will stay up, every time I have appeared in front of the media I have always maintained that we are a good team," added Mitrovic.

Sevilla have not beaten Valladolid in their last five meetings, whilst three of those have ended in a draw. With Sevilla potentially suffering a European hangover and Valladolid drawing four out of their previous six matches, it's a decent 4.65 for it to end all square once more.

Score Prediction: Sevilla 1 Real Valladolid 1 (8.50)
