La Liga Betting: Real Madrid to win but concede at Elche

Ángel di María revealed last weekend why he chose to battle it out with Gareth Bale for a place in Real Madrid's starting eleven.

Speaking to a Spanish radio station he admitted that he knew he "would have a chance of playing," after a chat with manager Carlo Ancelotti. "It’s a club that always attracts players, but sometimes it forgets about the players it already has," he confessed.

The Argentine winger also commented on the departure of his national team-mate Gonzalo Higuaín and the controversial sale of Mesut Özil: "I spoke to Gonzalo. He'd been here for seven years and felt he had completed a cycle and needed a breath of fresh air." Before adding this on Arsenal's new playmaker: "People say he went because new players were coming in, but I’m not really sure about that."

Elche 11.00, a draw 6.20, Real Madrid 1.25

Di María was due to start against Getafe alongside Bale, but the Welshman left the warm-up early with an injury and was replaced by Isco. It was a different wide player by the name of Ángel that struck the opener as Lafita's deflected shot gave Getafe an unexpected lead. Naturally, Madrid climbed back into the game, with Pepe heading in the equaliser, Isco netting once more and Ronaldo grabbing a brace.

With Madrid conceding first in their last two league matches, it might be worth a profitable look at Elche in the opening scorers market. Experienced defender Edu Albácar is the club penalty taker and has two already this season, he is 24.00 to shock Los Blancos and get the first goal.

Whilst Ancelotti has settled upon his goalkeeper, it's debatable if he is sure of his favoured defence or central midfield partnership. The Italian is yet to keep the same back six outfield players in successive games and has fielded four different combinations in the holding midfield area in just six matches. As a result, Real Madrid has not kept a clean sheet in the last four outings, both teams to score is 1.67.

Score prediction: Elche 1-3 Real Madrid (9.00)
