Terry Gibson's La Liga Betting: Real, Atletico & Barca To Close Out 2015 With Wins

Real Madrid - Real Sociedad - Wednesday 15.00 GMT

This should be another comfortable home win for Real Madrid, but I'm not expecting another 10 this week for Rafa Benitez's team! Rayo Vallecano are a one-off.

There hasn't been a massive turn around in form since David Moyes left Real Sociedad and they are a team with still only four wins so far this season. They do have the potential to make life difficult for Real if they show any belief but they are still underachieving in my opinion, as the squad does have the necessary quality to be much higher in the league.

Imanol Agirretxe has been in fine form this season in front of goal for Real Sociedad notching 12 so far matching Cristiano Ronaldo's tally. Agirretxe has scored 12 of the 17 goals scored in total by Real Sociedad. He is the man that Sergio Ramos and co have to watch out for.

Of course despite the 10-2 victory last time out the pressure is still on Rafa Benitez, and nothing other than a commanding, stylish victory will do for the Real Madrid fans in this game.

I expect exactly that though, with Real Madrid running out winners by at least 3 goals.

Terry’s Tip

Real Madrid to win -3 goals – 2.90

Rayo Vallecano - Atletico Madrid - Wednesday 17.15

Atletico are finding it difficult to score goals at the moment and a 1-0 loss away at Malaga last time out was evidence once again that someone other than Antoine Griezmann needs to find some goalscoring form.

Rayo might just be the perfect opponents for one of the other Atletico strikers to start scoring. It will be interesting to see who Simeone puts his trust in to partner Griezmann, and we are still waiting for Fernando Torres to get that 100th goal for Atletico.

From Rayo's point of view they will try to take the positives from their drubbing at Real Madrid. Let's not forget they were 2-1 ahead when it was 11 v 11, but two red cards put paid to any hope of them being competitive in that game.

I can't see anything other than an Atletico win due to their tendency to not concede too many goals, but how many can they put past Rayo? It won't be too heavy, therefore I'm going for a 2-0 win for Atletico. Griezmann with both, probably!

Terry’s Tips

Atletico Madrid to win 2-0 – 8.00

Griezmann to score at least twice – 7.00

Barcelona - Real Betis - Wednesday 19.30 GMT

Back to La Liga action for Barcelona on their return from Japan and their successful campaign in the Club World Cup.

On their flight out to Japan after a disappointing 2-2 home draw against Deportivo la Coruńa, they were notified that Real Madrid had lost to Villarreal and on their return flight a week later they found out that second place Atletico had lost away at Malaga. Which all means that Barcelona are still top of the league, and now with a game in hand over both Real and Atletico. Welcome news for Luis Enrique.

I believe the result and performance against Depor will be a timely reminder that they cannot afford to be complacent and that there is plenty of work for them to do in their quest to retain the League title. Therefore I'm tending to believe that Betis will feel the full force of Barcelona.

Betis have been good on the road this season gaining four of their five wins on their travels, but I don't see them troubling Barca at all. I see a convincing win for the home team, plundering the goals as they return to the Nou Camp in celebratory mood.

So I'll say Barca to at least score 4 in a comfortable win with the usual suspects amongst the goals.

Luis Suarez, by the way, has 24 goals in 24 appearances this season. We never thought that anybody else could match the stats of Messi and Ronaldo but he is coming close.

Terry’s Tips

Barca to score at least four – 1.71
