Valencia v Las Palmas – Saturday 21:00 GMT
There were signs of recovery from Valencia with a stunning 5-1 away victory away to Celta Vigo last time out. Las Palmas did put an end to the reign of David Moyes in their last game with a 2-0 home win against Real Sociedad, but I'm afraid I can't see any way they will get something from this game.
Valencia should, and will, be challenging again for a top four spot and Las Palmas will be in a relegation fight all the way through this season.
Valencia should get back amongst the goals again in this one with at least a three goal victory. Paco Alcacer looks to be back in form again and I'm backing him for at least a brace and a 3-0 Valencia win.
Valencia to win 3-0 - 11.50
Alcacer to score first - 4.75
Real Betis v Atletico Madrid – Sunday 19:30 GMT
This is a great chance for Atletico to close the gap on both Real and Barca this week and they will take full advantage. They are stuttering along at the moment but are still very much in touch with the top two. However, they are a team with so much more room for improvement.
Goalscoring is still an issue for Simeone's side but I anticipate they will be too strong for Real Betis this week, despite playing away from home.
Betis rely too much on Ruben Castro for goals and I expect Godin and co to be fully aware of that.
It won’t a big scoreline in terms of a victory but I'm going for a solid 2-0 vwin for Atleti. Potential goalscorers here are Griezmann and Torres, who is searching for his 100th goal for Atletico Madrid.
Ateltico to win 2-0 - 8.50
Torres to score - 3.00
