Terry Gibson's La Liga Betting: Ton-up Torres To Inspire Atletico & Messi To Help Barca To Get Celta Revenge

Getafe v Atletico MadridSunday 17:15 GMT

Getafe are showing signs this season of being a "streaky" team under Fran Escriba.

They had won three on the trot and all was looking good. They are now on a run of three defeats on the trot. Last week’s result and performance was very poor in the 3-0 defeat at Malaga and on that form you would say they will have no chance against Atletico. That's the way I'm leaning on this one.

There are some players returning this week for Atletico and Simeone after last week’s tough 3-1 win against Eibar. Simeone was missing a whole back four. Godin, Filipe and Juanfran were all banned and Savic was injured. All return this week.

Saul who played centre back last week will go back into midfield but who will play in attack? On last week’s showing you would have to find a place for the two subs Oliver Torres and Fernando Torres. Both transformed the game in favour of Atletico and both deserve a spot this weekend in yet another Madrid Derby. Fernando finally got his 100th Atletico goal and appeared to be rejuvenated after his return from injury.

I expect a clean sheet for Atletico, as I can't really see anyone from Getafe who looks capable of penetrating the Atletico defence with any pace or aggression.

I'm counting on two goals from Atletico this week with my favourites being Griezman and Fernando Torres to be the scorers.

Getafe 0-2 Atletico Madrid 7.00

Atletico to keep a clean sheet 1.71

Barcelona v Celta Vigo.- Sunday 19:30 GMT

Revenge time for Barcelona!

Back in September Celta put Barca to the sword with a thrilling display resulting in a 4-1 victory. They also won 1-0 in the Nou Camp last season, so they do have form against Barca and their former manager Luis Enrique.

I cannot see that form continuing though this weekend and I see an emphatic Barcelona victory. Celta's form of late hasn't been good. Their poor run has seen them slide away from any potential challenge for a fourth place finish. This poor run has coincided with the injury to Nolito, who has now missed 15 games through injury and was key to the win back in September. I also believe they are suffering with the loss of influential midfielder August Fernandez who departed to Atletico Madrid during the recent transfer window. This team of Celta without Augusto and Nolito are not a match for the team that beat Barca.

Barca are now on a club record of 29 without defeat in all comps and the Celta setback is one of only two defeats suffered in La Liga this season. The MSN forward line has now scored an incredible 81 goals between them this season and I don't see Celta slowing them down.

One footnote though; Celta are the least favourite team of Lionel Messi. In nine appearances v Celta he has only scored three goals. However, he is currently on 298 La Liga goals and needs just two to be the first ever to score 300.

I'm backing him to do it in this game. Barca 4-0 winners and Messi to get his goals.

Terry’s Tips

Barcelona 4-0 Celta Vigo 7.50
