Julien Laurens' Ligue 1 Betting: Angered By Midweek Draw, PSG Will Earn Nice Win

Nice- PSG - Friday 19.30 GMT

Paris Saint-Germain dropped two points at Angers on Tuesday evening (0-0) and were unable to score for the first time since last March.

They are away again on Friday, at Nice this time, and it will be another tricky game for them. Nice have been excellent so far this season and this will be a test for the champions. The main difference with the Angers game though is that Nice will not just defend. They like having the ball and go forward which means the Parisians will have more space than on Tuesday to play their game.

Laurent Blanc is still without Verratti, Pastore and Van der Wiel. But apart from the Italian, the starting line up will be the strongest one possible. Rabiot will deputise for Verratti once again. He has been very good since playing regularly in midfield. Matuidi received a knock against Angers but has been passed fit. Ibrahimovic started on the bench in midweek but is back in the team for this game and will play with Di Maria and Cavani around him.

Paris were disappointed by their draw at Angers but they hit the woodwork twice in the game and didn't lose either. They are still unbeaten in Ligue 1 so far this season. They will not be taking anything for granted against Nice, but they are full of confidence and of momentum after nine wins and a draw in their last ten league games.

For Nice, it will be a great evening. The stadium will be packed and the atmosphere will be great and Claude Puel’s team really believe they can be the first one to beat PSG in the league this season.

They will have to play the perfect game though, defensively and offensively and be very good tactically as well. Ben Arfa, who missed the last two matches, is back. Puel made seven changes in midweek for the draw at Lorient (0-0) and rested many of his first team players (Germain, Pied, Koziello, Seri). They will all be back for this game and apart from Pereira on the left hand side, Nice will be at full strength. However, I dont think it will be enough and I think PSG will win this game.

The odds are massively in favour of PSG with an away win at 1.50. The draw is at 4.60 and a Nice home win is at 6.25.

Edison Cavani is favourite to score first at 4.10 but my best tip is PSG to win and both teams to score at 3.65. Ibrahimovic to score at anytime at 2.08 is very interesting too.

Score prediction: Nice 1 PSG 2 at 9.00
