Lens 4.50 Draw 1.80 Lyon 1.80
Lyon are now top of Ligue 1 after their win against Toulouse (3-0) last weekend combined with the defeats of PSG and Marseille.
The Gones have been impressive in the last few months after their reaction to a dreadful start of the season (3 defeats in the last four games). In Alexandre Lacazette, they have found their Ronaldo or their Messi. He has now scored 19 league goals in 20 games. He netted a double in each of his last four league appearances, a treat that only Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez have achieved in the last ten years
He is on fire at the moment. No one can stop him and you have to feel worried for the Lens defence who will face him on Saturday. With Lacazette, Fekir, the little playmaker, has been the revelation of the season. He is also in top form and scored last weekend too. He and Lacazette work perfectly well together and have been carrying the team this season.
The only little concern for Lyon prior to this game is the absence of Milan Bisevac, their experience centre half. Rose will replace him but he has not played much this season and when he has, he has been poor. However, he should be fine against a struggling Lens attack. Lyon actually lost at home to Lens earlier in the season but it was during the bad patch they had at the start of the campaign.
They want their revenge but they have raised questions about the pitch at the Amiens stadium where the game will be played (as the Lens stadium is being refurbished for Euro 2016).
They are not happy with the pitch and it will be an advantage for the “home” side. Lens are fighting against relegation, in the bottom three. Life in Ligue 1 is difficult for them.
But on Saturday, they will defend as hard as they can. They will try to frustrate the leaders and try to get at least a point. However, Lyon have a great opportunity to go four points clear at the top with a win on Saturday and they will not miss it. They will win easily.
Best bet: Lyon to win without conceding at 2.90
Score prediction: Lens 0-2 Lyon at 8.50
