Premier League Betting: Man United v Chelsea - Fan v Fan Preview

Man United perspective: Chudi Onwuazor, The Busby Way

Team news

Danny Welbeck is out of Sunday's game, but Nemanja Vidic and Paul Scholes have returned to training. Although though the title has been wrapped up, Sir Alex insists he will play a strong team. This is firstly because he feels he has a duty to the other teams chasing a top-four place, but also because he would love to throw a spanner into Rafa Benitez's works!

Form

Last weekend's sleepy performance against Arsenal was expected, with the team having secured the title that week. We played better in the second half, however, and now the celebrations are over we will be back to business.

Head-to-head

This will be the fifth meeting between these sides this season, with Chelsea leading the series 2-1. Chelsea haven't won at Old Trafford since 2010 but came pretty close this season in the FA Cup. They'll be looking to end that run to help their hopes of Champions League qualification.

Best bets

Over 3.5 goals at 2.80. These games tend to be high-scoring affairs with 19 goals in the four games this season. With all the attacking talent on display I'd wager this game will follow suit.

Javier Hernandez to score at 2.40. Sir Alex said he will be rotating his team so I expect to see Chicharito in the side. The Mexican is like kryptonite to Chelsea, with seven goals against them in his short time in England. Another may be on the cards on Sunday.

Red card awarded at 4.00. Speaking of cards, this could be a spicy affair. United have had a good disciplinary record this season but this game could heat up given the stakes for Chelsea and the bad blood between the managers.

Score prediction: Man United 3-2 Chelsea (22.00)

Chelsea perspective: Andy Seaby, Chelsea Daft

Team news

Rafa Benitez has stuck with his rotation policy at the club throughout a busy schedule; the Europa League game vs Basel was Chelsea's 11th game in the last 22 days. Juan Mata, Oscar and John Terry were all on the bench on Thursday and I expect all three to start this one. Demba Ba, who is cup-tied for the Europa League, looks set to return to the starting XI, as does Ashley Cole who missed the game on Thursday through suspension.

Form

Chelsea's form has really picked up of late: apart from defeat at Wembley against Man City in the FA Cup and a controversial draw at Anfield, we've been very impressive. Getting to the Europa League final will have improved our confidence, so we should be up for this one at Old Trafford.

Head-to-head

After a defeat to United at Stamford Bridge in the league and a poor first-half display at Old Trafford in the cup, Chelsea have shaken the dust off and really got to grips with United. We came away from Old Trafford with a 2-2 draw before beating United at Stamford Bridge in the replay, so it's set up nicely for a cracker on Sunday.

Best bets

David Luiz to score at 9.25. The Brazilian has been pushed forward into midfield and has scored a couple of crackers of late.

Over 2.5 goals at 1.75. I believe there will be at least three goals scored in this one, and the price is fair.

Chelsea to win at 3.20. United have won the league and have no chance to break Chelsea's points record so I can see them rotating their players. As a result, I would get on Chelsea to win this.

Score prediction: Man United 1-2 Chelsea (12.50)
