Premier League Betting: QPR v Arsenal - Fan v Fan Preview

QPR perspective

Team news

Rob Green is likely to continue in goal for the relegated Rangers, but Christopher Samba should be available following illness. Bobby Zamora returns from suspension, meaning Loic Remy will have some company in attack. A knock to Andros Townsend should give Adel Taarabt another chance to impress.

Form

The form book doesn't make good reading for Rs fans. QPR have not won since March, picking up just two points from their last six games. That always looked like relegation form and so it has proven.

Head-to-head

Rangers picked up a fine win against Arsenal at Loftus Road last season - their first win over their London rivals since 1995. The Gunners avenged that result with a 1-0 win in October, however.

Best bets

'No' in Both Teams to Score at 1.95. QPR have struggled for goals of late and face an Arsenal side with plenty to play for.

Under 2.5 goals at 2.20. Arsenal have hardly been at their decisive best either. Take the unders.

Arsenal to win at 1.40. A miserable season at Loftus Road cannot end quickly enough. With nothing to play for, this is the most likely result.

Score prediction: QPR 0-2 Arsenal (7.75)

Predicted side

Arsenal perspective: James McNicholas, Gunnerblog

Team news

Arsenal are still missing first-choice centre-forward Olivier Giroud, who will be suspended for two further games after being sent off against Fulham. Arsene Wenger has indicated he will keep faith with Lukas Podolski as Giroud's replacement. In the continued absence of Lukasz Fabianski with a cracked rib, Wojciech Szczesny will play in goal.

Form

Arsenal's run since losing to Spurs in the north London derby has been nothing short of remarkable. A win in this match will put Arsenal in a strong position in the race for Champions League qualification, with Spurs and Chelsea set to face each other next week.

Head-to-head

QPR put in one of their best performances of the season at the Emirates Stadium, and were unfortunate to lose. Since then, their form has plummeted and Arsenal will be looking to take full advantage against a defence featuring hapless former Gunner Armand Traore.

Best bets

Lukas Podolski to score first at 5.75. Arsene Wenger has indicated he'll keep faith with the German forward, and having had a game to settle in to a new central role, Podolski ought to prosper against QPR's leaky defence.

Sending off at 6.00. Clint Hill is one of the Premier League's more agricultural defenders. Against Arsenal, he might find himself caught out by the Gunners' nippy attackers and an officious referee.

Arsenal/Arsenal HT/FT at 2.00. The Gunners started fast against United, scoring within three minutes. They'll be looking to do the same against Rangers, and dominate throughout the 90 minutes.

Score prediction: QPR 1-3 Arsenal (12.50)
