Premier League Betting: Saturday's 3pm Kick-Offs Previewed

Arsenal 1.39, the draw 5.00, West Ham 8.25

Arsenal’s Premier League campaigns are starting to follow a pattern with a mid season wobble ahead of a push for a customary top four place. Unless they find themselves at the very top, Wenger’s men will usually finish a season strongly and that will be bad news for the Hammers this weekend.

It’s been a far better campaign this time around for Sam Allardyce’s men but it’s one that has drifted in recent weeks and a bizarre injury to Enner Valencia involving a broken mug leaves a depleted strike force and will only help to hand the points to the Gunners.

Best Bet: Over 3.5 Goals 4.60

Score Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 West Ham 12.50

Leicester City 2.15, the draw 3.25, Hull City 3.75

A predictable 2-0 defeat at Manchester City last time out leaves Leicester adrift at the bottom of the table and they must win games such as these if they are to stand a chance of surviving. The Foxes are boosted by the return of Kasper Schmeichel but it’s odd to think that Nigel Pearson’s men are now facing one of the league’s form teams.

Mike Phelan may claim some credit for a run of one defeat in four matches and that record is dragging the Tigers to safety. Away from home they still look vulnerable however and while the draw might jump off the page, Leicester may just harness that home advantage to edge it.

Best Bet: Both teams to score 1.91

Score Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Hull City 10.00

Sunderland 2.35, the draw 3.10, Aston Villa 3.40

From one six pointer to another and while Villa haven’t exactly been transformed under Tim Sherwood, two positive results against West Brom in league and cup will have given the away side some confidence.

Sunderland’s form is an obvious concern and the real issue for Gus Poyet’s men is a tally of two goals in their last six matches in all competitions. Since returning to the side, Jermain Defoe hasn’t looked fully fit but an extra 10 days rest since the Hull game could see the striker having the final say in this one.

Best Bet: Jermain Defoe to score anytime 2.95

Score Prediction: Sunderland 2-0 Aston Villa 10.00

West Brom 2.30, the draw 3.20, Stoke City 3.40

It’s unlike Stoke to become predictable but narrow wins in recent weeks have taken Mark Hughes’ side to the edge of the European places. It’s one defeat in seven for the Potters with that loss coming against title chasing Manchester City.

West Brom’s improvement saw Tony Pulis pick up the Manager of the Month award for February and two teams playing to Pulis principles should mean a low scoring affair. Under 2.5 goals is likely but as for the result, I fancy Stoke to keep that run going.

Best Bet: Under 2.5 goals 1.53

Score Prediction: West Brom 0-1 Stoke City 8.50

Everton 1.82, the draw 3.70, Newcastle United 4.60

A European hangover threatens to continue for Everton and that 2-0 loss to Stoke means that the Toffees can still be sucked into a relegation fight. Europa League form aside, Roberto Martinez’s men have taken only two points from a possible 15, scoring just twice in the process.

Newcastle were unlucky to go down at Manchester United last time out but their current form only marginally improves on that of Everton’s. It’s another game where home advantage could have the final say but 3.70 for the draw is top value for this one.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 goals 2.00

Score Prediction: Everton 2-2 Newcastle United 16.00
