Premier League Betting: Saturday's 3pm Kick-Offs Previewed

Burnley 2.60, the draw 3.30, Stoke City 2.86

The Clarets finally scored and secured a win against Hull last weekend but it wasn’t enough to save Sean Dyche’s side whose record coming into this game remains poor. Stoke dispatched a lacklustre Spurs team and it may surprise some to see the Potters as narrow outsiders.

We’re now at the stage where many games have nothing resting on them and that makes things difficult but relegated Burnley, as they did at the end of their previous trip to the Premier League, may start to record some positive results. Back the win that ensures that the hosts won’t finish bottom.

Best Bet: Both teams to score 1.84

Score Prediction: Burnley 2-1 Stoke City 8.50

Queens Park Rangers 2.90, the draw 3.60, Newcastle United 2.38

How QPR fans would have wished for a home fixture against Newcastle about a month previously. The Magpies ended their long losing run against West Brom but that is their solitary point from a possible 27 with the side’s previous win coming right at the end of February.

In this game, only one team has anything to play for and QPR have been exposed as a truly poor side in recent weeks with Chris Ramsey hinting that there may be some truth in the ‘bad eggs’ suggestions.

Don’t expect too much quality in a desperate game with Newcastle set to squeeze out another vital point.

Best Bet: Papiss Cisse to score anytime 2.90

Score Prediction: Queens Park Rangers 2-2 Newcastle United 12.00

Sunderland 2.70, the draw 3.30, Leicester City 2.72

This remains a six pointer with both sides knowing that a defeat could put them right back in a final day, relegation scrap. With that in mind, we could be looking at a cagey afternoon with neither team looking to commit too much in the final third.

Results have improved all round but Leicester’s form is better and the Foxes come here on the back of an incredible six wins from seven. Despite that, I’ll stick with the theory that the magnitude of the game will get to both teams and force a dull draw.

Best Bet: Under 2.5 goals 1.76

Score Prediction: Sunderland 1-1 Leicester City 6.50

Tottenham 1.77, the draw 3.95, Hull City 4.50

The only certainty here is that I won’t be staking any of my own money on a Spurs win at 1.77. With the exception of a 3-1 victory at Newcastle, recent performances have got the results they deserved and when you’re battling relegation, there are worse places to play than at White Hart Lane right now.

Remember also that prior to two defeats, the Tigers had beaten Liverpool and Palace and as such, they shade an underwhelming form battle between the two. Personally I’m not getting involved but the visitors may well be worth a small punt.

Best Bet: Nikica Jelavic to score anytime 3.90

Score Prediction: Tottenham 0-1 Hull City 13.00

West Ham 2.90, the draw 3.45, Everton 2.45

Here are two more sides who can’t wait for the season to end, although Everton’s overall form has improved since Europa League elimination and a win has the small incentive of taking them above the Hammers.

Some shrewd summer signings had given West Ham a potent threat up top and a genuine hope of a top six finish but the telling stat shows just five goals in their last ten games and the last time they recorded a brace was at Spurs on February 22nd. Therefore, I’m looking at another share of the points in a dour match, low on entertainment and goals.

Best Bet: Diafra Sakho to score anytime 2.90

Score Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Everton 6.75
