Snapping Up Sergi
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sees Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper as the perfect long-term replacement for Mikel Arteta, and is set to step up his attempts to sign the 20-year-old.
Is he good? Well he’s a young midfielder schooled at Barcelona so he’s bound to be. Samper would be an interesting addition and would draw comparisons with Cesc Fabregas.

Liverpool haven’t finished with their summer shopping yet, and want to add a new left-back in the form of PSG’s Lucas Digne – either on a permanent deal or on loan.
Good move? He’s very highly rated and has caps for France, plus he’d pretty much given Liverpool two options for every position.

The ‘mystery striker’ being targeted by Manchester United is none other than Fernando Llorente, the 30-year-old forward who seems set to leave Juventus.
Bit underwhelming. A little bit, but if he was happy to bide his time on the bench he could be a clever addition for Louis van Gaal, who needs another forward.

Will it happen? These types of sagas usually end in a transfer, but it’s probably going to have to be a British record for a defender if it happens.

After confirming that he won’t sign a new deal with Leicester City, veteran midfielder Esteban Cambiasso could be off to West Ham.
Seems like a smart move. It does. Cambiasso was impressive as the Foxes beat the drop last season, and he’d bring quality to the Hammers.
