Transfer News Today: Arsenal & Man Utd Target Benzema Drops Huge Transfer Hint

‘Leave The Past In The Past’

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has dropped a huge transfer hint with an Instagram post which shows him sitting on a private plane.

Benzema posted the words ‘Laissons le passé au passé’ with the image, which means ‘leave the past in the past.’

Arsenal and Manchester United fans have got incredibly excited by the post, but could it mean he’s on his way to England?

We’ll see. Click here for the odds on Benzema’s next club

Luis-Ing Out

Filipe Luis has ended his time at Chelsea after just one season, and has moved back to Atletico Madrid.

That was fast. Well it never quite worked out for him at Stamford Bridge, mainly because of the consistency of Cesar Azpilicueta. A move is right for all parties.

Chelsea are 2.45 to win the Community Shield

James Jumps Ship

Wales defender James Chester is leaving Hull City and moving to West Brom for an eye-popping £8million.

They could have the whole city of Chester for that. Quite. That’s the way transfer fees have gone though, and Chester has been a consistent figure of late.

West Brom are 4.00 to finish in the top 10

Taking On Wisdom

Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is set to depart on his third loan spell in as many seasons, with Norwich City set to follow Derby and West Brom in taking him on.

Why don’t they just sell him? Well he signed a new contract this summer, so obviously Liverpool see something in him. The signing of Nathaniel Clyne will limit his chances though.

Norwich are 2.05 to go down

What A Caulker

Another defender on the move could be QPR’s Steven Caulker, who is wanted on loan at Southampton with a view to an £8million deal.

Interesting one. It is. Caulker hardly impressed last season at QPR went down, but he would appear to have a few fans out there.

Southampton are 3.20 to finish in the bottom 10
