Transfer News Today: Arsenal Set To Confirm Premier League Switch

Mathieu To The Midlands

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to sanction Mathieu Debuchy’s loan departure to Aston Villa, with the French international set to complete his move before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Debuchy – who has lost his place in the Arsenal side to Hector Bellerin – wants games in order to force his way into France’s Euro 2016 squad, and he’s set to join Remi Garde’s strugglers for the remainder of the campaign.

Loic To Leicester

Leicester City could be set to spice up their Premier League title bid with an £11.5m move for Chelsea’s Loic Remy.

The Londoners have wrapped up their loan switch for Alexandre Pato, meaning that Remy is considered surplus to requirements, and after scoring some crucial goals in Chelsea’s title success last season, Claudio Ranieri is hopeful he can do the same for the Foxes.

West Bromwich Albion have refused to sanction Saido Berahino’s £18m move to Newcastle United because they don’t want to sell to a relegation rival.

Berahino is desperate to leave The Hawthorns and has also been linked with Tottenham and Stoke City, but for now he remains a brooding presence on the Baggies bench.
