Transfer News Today: Arsenal To Sign £79K-A-Minute Premier League Flop?

Greece Is The Word?

Forward Kostas Mitroglou – who only ever played just 152 minutes for Fulham after signing for £12 million during their relegation season of 2013/14 (costing them £79,000 per minute) – is a shock target for Arsenal according to reports.

The 28-year-old Greece international has shone on loan at Champions League quarter-finalists Benfica this season, scoring 22 goals in 39 games, but reports in Portugal suggest that the Lisbon club can’t afford to make the deal permanent and that Arsenal are now set to sign him from Fulham in the summer.

Dembele II?

After failing to sign Fulham’s Moussa Dembele in January, Tottenham are now looking at a deal for Rennes’ 18-year-old forward Ousmane Dembele.

The teenager has scored 12 goals this season, and could link up with Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele at White Hart Lane.
