Transfer News Today: Chelsea To Beat Liverpool And Arsenal To Brazil Striker

Pato To Pick Blues Over Gunners And Reds?

Chelsea are keen to add to their attacking options before allowing Loic Remy to jump ship and they have moved ahead of both Arsenal and Liverpool in the race for Alexandre Pato.

The Brazilian striker is massively keen on a move to England and was rumoured to be close to an Anfield switch early in the transfer window. Nevertheless his agent is supposedly on these shores talking to the Stamford Bridge outfit about a potential move to London.

Guus Hiddink has made no secret of his desire to bring in a new striker and Pato is an exciting option after he turned down a mind-blowing offer to go and play in China.

Klopp Goes Dutch

Liverpool were involved in a wonderful game of football against Arsenal last night and despite notching three goals Jurgen Klopp is keen to add to his attacking options at Anfield.

One target he is honing in on is 20-year-old Dutch sensation Anwar El Ghazi. What do you mean you’ve never heard of him?

Well, he has been schooled at the infamous Ajax academy and has already made his international debut. The winger has a keen eye for goal, scoring eight times in just 13 Eredivisie appearances already this season. He is available for a relatively small outlay of £8m and if they can fend off AC Milan’s interest Liverpool could have real player on their hands.

Liverpool are 3.20 to finish in the top four

Red Devils Look To Add The Austrian Dragon

Manchester United have been renowned for their defensive solidity under Louis van Gaal, in fact if anything it has been the one positive to come out of the Dutch manager’s reign.

However, in their bizarre game against Newcastle in midweek they conceded three and looked all at sea defensively. The manager has moved quickly to cure that problem with an apparent move for Austrian international Aleksandar Dragovic.

The Dynamo Kiev man has impressed hugely since his switch from Basel in 2013 and reports suggest he could be a Red Devil by as early as next week. The fee is set to be around £16m for a 24-year-old who has played 38 times for his country.
