Transfer News Today: Chelsea Close To Signing Prolific Forward

Another One In At Chelsea

Chelsea are looking to conclude a deal for the prolific Rijeka and Croatia forward Andrej Kramaric, a 23-year-old who has scored 28 goals in 24 matches for club and country this season.

Haven’t they got enough forwards? You’d have thought so, yes, but perhaps Kramaric will go out on loan for the remainder of this season and then come in to replace Didier Drogba in the summer. More importantly, by signing him Chelsea will ensure he doesn’t go to anyone else.

Chelsea are in to 1.38 to win the Premier League

How Much? Part I

Liverpool are ready to tie up a £23.5m move for the West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino.

That’s not actually true, is it? Probably not. The price seems extraordinarily high even considering Berahino’s undoubted talents, and it would be a shock to see Liverpool pay so much for him following the summer’s expensive failures.

How Much? Part II

Manchester United are going to pay Everton £25m for right-back Seamus Coleman.

Really? It is a huge price tag, but Coleman has proven to be one of the best players in his position in the Premier League over the past few years. It’s more believable than the Berahino rumour, but still unlikely.

After five defeats in seven, Everton are 101.0 to go down

Reid It And Weep

Arsenal are set to sign the West Ham centre-back Winston Reid for a cut-price £4m in January.

Clever move. Yes, it would be. The New Zealander has been a quietly effective force at the back for the Hammers for a number of years, and would bring a bit of calmness to the Gunners’ defence.

Arsenal are 3.50 to not sign anyone in January

Exit Shaqiri?

Liverpool are set to miss out on long-term target Xherdan Shaqiri, with the Swiss international primed to complete a move to Juventus.

Big blow to the Reds? Yes, it would be. Although they arguably need to improve other areas of their team more urgently.
