Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is demanding that his paymasters up their search for new players, and is reportedly ready to sign off on a £15m move for Lazio’s Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij now that the deal for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly has stalled.
De Vrij came to prominence at the 2014 World Cup where he played as part of a back three under Louis van Gaal, and he’s seen as dependable – and cheaper – second choice.
