Eyes On De Vrij
Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij – who played under Louis van Gaal at last summer’s World Cup – has emerged as the alternative option if Manchester United fail to land top defensive target Sergio Ramos this summer.
Good move? It would be. De Vrij is only 23 and has plenty of years ahead of him, and he might even be seen as a target even if United sign Ramos.

Clyne Signs On The Dotted Line
Liverpool have completed their sixth summer transfer with a £12.5m deal for right-back Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton.
That seems a clever signing. It does, and at a decent price too. The Reds needed a right-back to replace Glen Johnson and Clyne more than fits the bill.

Stoke could be set to pull off a huge coup and sign the Switzerland midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri after agreeing a £12m fee.
Really? Really, although whether or not Shaqiri will agree terms with the club remains to be seen.

Nani Not Wanted
Manchester United winger Nani is to join Fenerbahce after accepting that he has no future at the Old Trafford club.
We could have told him that. Well, quite. Nani went on loan to Sporting Lisbon last summer and this could be a good move for him.

Chelsea are moving closer to signing the Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic as a replacement for Petr Cech.
But surely he won’t play? You’d think not. With Thibaut Courtois at the club Begovic would have to get used to life on the bench, but that isn’t putting him off.
Chelsea are 2.50 to win the Premier League again in 2015/16
