Transfer News Today: Liverpool Boss Klopp Wants Reunion With Dortmund Star

Klopp Keen To Be Reunited With His Midfield General

Jurgen Klopp had some loyal generals in his time at Dortmund and it seems that he is keen to bring one of his closest confidants to Anfield.

Kevin Grosskreutz played over 200 matches for Klopp in Germany and has the capability to play in an endless amount of positions, with midfield his preferred role.

The German international is still only 27 years old and hasn’t enjoyed his time at Galatasaray after the Turkish club failed to register him, thus leaving him in limbo since the summer. He has not played a game since last term and is annoyed at his current plight, luckily his former manager is keen to save him from his nightmare.

Van Gaal Moves To Bring England Legend To Old Trafford

Man United are eager for goals up top so it may come as a surprise to see them linked with a high profile operator at the other end of the pitch

Louis van Gaal is reportedly set to offer England veteran Ashley Cole a short term deal at Old Trafford in a bid to add some strength in the left-back area. The injury to Luke Shaw has left the Red Devils short in that area and the Dutch boss does not like what he has seen from Marcos Rojo.

Cole had a torrid time at Roma and saw his contract terminated by mutual consent recently and is available straight away.

Jamie Vardy Tener Una Fiesta

The rather eloquent Spanish above may give the hint that this little nugget is to do with Jamie Vardy and a move to Europe.

With Gary Neville taking up the manager’s job at Valencia many outlets will have you believe that the former Man United man is set to sign half the England squad in the January window. However, he is reportedly seriously considering a move for the top-flight’s top marksman.

Vardy has notched 14 times already this term and the 28-year-old is set to be the focus of massesof interest this January. Neville says he is planning for the long term at the Mestalla and securing Vardy would be a major coup for the former pundit.
