Whole Motta Love?
Just when we thought Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool had put away the cheque book, it seems they may well be getting it out again. As we informed you so intuitively yesterday the Reds are reportedly willing to consider offers for Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva. So obviously they have to sign a replacement, right?
The man linked to an Anfield switch is Thiago Motta. The Metro claims the PSG midfielder could be set to add the Merseyside club to the long list of European giants he has represented.
Will Thiago go? He doesn’t exactly fit the Liverpool profile, being 32 and all. Nevertheless, if Lucas leaves then they could do worse than to draft Motta in for midfield reinforcement.
Another Holding Midfielder To Arsenal
The Arsenal defensive midfield debate has been running for so long that many of the people talking about it don’t even remember Patrick Vieira ever playing for the Gunners. However, one player they are being heavily linked with is Sevilla man Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The Telegraph write that the London club sent a ‘delegation’ (we think that means a scout), to watch the Polish international in action in the Super Cup against Barcelona.
The 25-year-old would head to the Emirates to put pressure on Francis Coquelin and Arsene Wenger is pondering a £22m offer to test the Europa League champions’ mettle.
He fits the bill. An impressive force and a good age. Whether Wenger will actually sign him only he knows but the Polish star looks destined for the Premier League at some stage.
Nic Is Just The Ticket (At Last)
Nicolas Otamendi is a player that has been linked with Manchester United all summer and his name has once again risen to the top of all things transfer.
The Valencia centre back enjoyed the honour of trending on Twitter for what must be the 50th time in two months as various sources report that he is on the verge of a switch to Old Trafford.
Get it done Louis. There is no doubt the Red Devils need a centre half and they aren’t getting Sergio Ramos. This is more important than Pedro. Make it happen Mr Van Gaal.

Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu is set to sign for Southampton. After being something of a favourite under AVB the Barcelona youth product has never really had a sniff at the Bridge since.
Classic Koeman. Pick up a technical player on the cheap and turn him into a world beater. Just watch him move for £25m next summer, probably back to Chelsea.
Old Lady Ramires
Chelsea stalwart Ramires could find himself at Champions League finalists Juventus by the end of the window as Max Allegri continues to rebuild his squad.
Verve of Vidal. The Brazilian would add some energy and bite to the Old Lady after Arturo Vidal’s move to Bayern.
