Liverpool are on the brink of signing the Germany left-back Jonas Hector according to reports from the Cologne defender’s homeland, which state that the Reds have agreed a free of around £12m for the 26-year-old.

Hector, who played more minutes than anyone else for his national team in 2015, could be given time off from the world champions’ pre-Euro 2016 training camp to complete his move before the finals.
