Alexandre The Great?
Reports in France suggest that Liverpool are preparing a bid for the Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, who has become the hottest property in Ligue 1 this season after notching 23 goals in 23 games in league and cup.
The real deal then? Our man Julien Laurens really likes him, and his pace and finishing ability has caught the eye of several clubs across Europe this season. He won’t come cheap though, and it would be a shock to see the Reds spend big this month.
Why Martin Odegaard Has Got Everyone So Excited
Chelsea have entered into talks to sign the Fiorentina and Colombia winger Juan Cuadrado, who impressed at the World Cup. They’ll need to sell forgotten man Mohamed Salah first, though, if they can find him.
Do they need him? Probably not, but when has that stopped Chelsea signing a player? Cuadrado is a fantastic talent, and could give the Blues the extra boost they need as they chase four trophies.

Not Very ‘Andy
Speaking of forgotten men, the Manchester United midfielder Anderson is up for sale but absolutely no-one has enquired about him. The Brazilian cost United around £18m from Porto in 2007.
Poor guy. He’s certainly not poor. Anderson is still on a huge contract at United and is likely to run it down until the summer, at which point he’ll be able to leave on a free transfer.
What would happen if United signed Gareth Bale?
An Englishman Abroad?
James Milner’s contract dispute with Manchester City is set to lead to him leaving the club on a free transfer, but Valencia and Inter Milan have now come to the table and want to beat Liverpool to the Englishman’s signature.
He won’t leave the Premier League, surely? Milner is as English as pie and chips and a pint of bitter, so it would be a shock to see him move abroad. A Liverpool move in the summer is starting to look likely.
City are now out to 6.00 to win the Premier League
Arsene Wenger claims that Arsenal’s chances of signing the Brazilian centre-back Gabriel Paulista are hanging in the balance as the Gunners wait on a work permit for the Villarreal man. Wenger claims the move is now “50-50” to happen.
Any good? Arsene will have to prove that he is. He’ll need to be regarded as an “exceptional talent” to get his Visa, and with a fee which could rise to over £10m he’ll provide good competition for places at the back.
