Transfer News Today: Liverpool Offered Award-Winning Stopper To Replace Mignolet

From Marseille To Merseyside?

According to reports in France, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been offered the chance to replace error-prone Simon Mignolet in January, with Marseille prepared to accept a cut-price deal for their long-serving goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

French international Mandanda, 30, is a three-time Ligue 1 goalkeeper of the year, and will leave the club in the summer on a free transfer.

Marseille are happy to bring that move forward in order to bank some cash, although Klopp is believed to be prepared to wait until the summer and target moves for Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen or Cologne’s Timo Horn.
