Transfer News Today: Man United Want Everton Duo & Chelsea Eye Europe's Top Striker

LVG Plotting Triple Premier League Swoop To De-pedestrianise Red Devils

Louis van Gaal arrived at Old Trafford and was handed a massive budget with which to rebuild the United squad and make them title contenders once again. So far his attempts at acquiring players have been pretty poor with the likes of Angel Di Maria, Marcos Rojo, Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian all making very little impact.

The answer, it seems, is to give him a £100m to splash on three proven Premier League players in the hope they will add some dynamism. Romelu Lukaku, John Stones and Ryan Bertrand are the trio in question, with Lukaku being the most expensive at £50m.

It would be a bold move from the Old Trafford outfit but maybe that is exactly what they need?

Nolito Is A Go Go For Gunners In January

Arsenal are keen to add to their striking ranks this January, with the feeling very much that whoever takes the initiative in the coming window will win the Premier League.

Their first port of call is Spanish international striker Nolito. The Celta Vigo man is wanted by Barcelona but they are struggling to match his £13m release clause, a factor that is no issue for the Londoners.

At 29 he wouldn’t be a massively long term signing but he would add great experience and goals to the squad. The former Benfica man has scored seven goals in just 10 outings for Vigo this season.

Jose Moves For Costa Replacement

It’s fair to say that Chelsea have been lacking all over the pitch this season, but nowhere more so than up top. Diego Costa looks a shadow of last year’s player and has scored a mere four goals in his 17 outings for the Blues.

It is no surprise then that the Pensioners are set to make Europe’s top scorer their number one priority. Alex Teixera has notched 26 goal in just 25 games for Shakhtar this term and could be set for a move to Stamford Bridge next month.

The Brazilian’s value could rise in the summer, such is his great form and the Londoners are eager to get him into their set up as soon as possible.
