Transfer News Today: Man Utd Given Green Light To Sign Pogba Alternative

Blaising A Trail

Manchester United’s long-winded pursuit to re-sign Paul Pogba goes on, but they have now been given the green light to sign his France teammate.

Blaise Matuidi could, according to Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery, be allowed to leave the French capital following the arrival of Grzegorz Krychowiak, and with no headway being made in the interminable Pogba pursuit, Jose Mourinho could be set to lodge a bid for the 29-year-old.

Ben Yedder, Steady, Go?

The latest name linked with Arsenal is that of the 25-year-old Toulouse forward Wissam Ben Yedder, who appears certain to move on from the Ligue 1 club this summer.

Ben Yedder had previously been linked with Leicester, but reported in France claim that the forward, who scored 23 goals last season, now has a straight choice between the Gunners or Sevilla.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has been slow to reshape his squad so far this summer, but preparations for the new season could be set to kick up a notch with a £12.5m move for Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian international has been in a contract dispute with Stoke City all summer, and with only one year left on his current deal he seems set to jump ship to Goodison Park.
