Transfer News Today: Man Utd Told They Aren’t Good Enough To Sign Their Top Transfer Target

Raymond Rambles

Ex-France boss Raymond Domenech has told Hugo Lloris that he’s too good to join Manchester United.

Domenech has said that the Spurs and France goalkeeper would be making a sideways move if he replaced David De Gea at Old Trafford, and has urged to hold out for what he calls a ‘bigger’ club.

United are pretty big. Well, yeah, and given the goalkeeping situations at the other ‘big’ clubs in England you’d have thought that this move would make the most sense, but obviously Domenech disagrees.

Buying Benteke

Liverpool are ready to finally complete a deal for Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke, beating Arsenal and Spurs to the Belgian.

That one has been on the cards for a while. It has, and the big man would give Liverpool more of a goal threat than they had last season.

Securing Sissoko

Another player on Liverpool’s radar is the Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who could be set for a move to Anfield after the Magpies agreed a deal for Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

Another new signing? Liverpool mean business in the transfer market this summer, and Sissoko would be an excellent addition to their midfield.

Liverpool are still likely to raise the funds for their various purchases by selling Raheem Sterling, who is set to be the subject of a third and final bid from Manchester City of £50m this week.

This has dragged on. It has, but Sterling looks to have burned his bridges at Anfield and a move now looks best for all parties.

Manchester United and Arsenal target Arturo Vidal is set to disappoint the Premier League giants and sign for Real Madrid this summer.

Will he get a game there? Well he’s good enough, but you’d have to think that he’ll be something of a squad player at the Bernabeu.
