Manchester United plan to solve the problem on the left side of their defence with a January move for Everton’s Brendan Galloway, according to weekend reports.

Galloway has impressed at left-back after breaking into the team this season, and he could move to Old Trafford as cover for the injured Luke Shaw.

In the weekend’s most unrealistic but very easy to make up rumour, new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is apparently targeting lethal forward Robert Lewandowski to beef up the Anfield attack.

Lewandowski is currently on a remarkable goalscoring record, but even though he enjoyed his time working under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, this one is as unlikely to happen as Brenda n Rodgers becoming the new Bayern Munich manager.
