Monaco’s in-demand midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has reportedly claimed that he would snub interest from suitors such as Real Madrid and Arsenal if Liverpool made a bid for his signature, as he’s “a huge Reds fan.”
Will they make a bid though? Maybe, they could certainly do with him, but we’ll see how much Kondogbia’s apparent allegiance is worth if the likes of Real or Arsenal get involved in a bidding war.

One signing that Liverpool have completed is a £3.5m deal for the Charlton and England Under-19 defender Joe Gomez, who has signed a long-term contract at the club.
One for the future? Yes. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Gomez was loaned back to the Championship initially, but he looks a good prospect.

England’s Andros Townsend could be on the way out of Tottenham, who are prepared to offload the winger to either Swansea or Aston Villa.
He plays more for his country than his club. He does, and it’s about time that changed. A move to either club would suit him, with former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood ready to make him a key player at Villa Park.

Arsenal’s £28.5m bid for the Portugal midfielder William Carvalho is not considered to be enough by his club Sporting Lisbon, who want another £8.5m on top of that to trigger his release clause.
Is he worth it? He’s young, powerful and intelligent, so in the modern market he probably is, but it would be a huge surprise to see the Gunners cough up £37m.

Manchester City’s captain Vincent Kompany has been talking up his international colleague Kevin De Bruyne, the former Chelsea midfielder who is an apparent £35m target for City.
He’d be a great signing. He would, and you get the feeling that Wolfsburg can’t hold onto him for much longer. Could be one to watch.
