Transfer News Today: Radamel Falcao In Shock Manchester United Move

Deadline Day Special

Radamel Falcao is set to seal a remarkable season-long loan switch to Manchester United, with the Red Devils beating both Real Madrid and Manchester City to the Colombian forward, who will join from Monaco for the entirety of the 2014/15 campaign.

Instead of signing Falcao, Real are instead going to take Javier Hernandez on loan from United for the season.

Manchester City right-back Micah Richards has shunned advances from the Premier League and is set to sign for Serie A side Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal, whilst forward Alvaro Negredo could be set to leave for Valencia.

Liverpool are set to ship out several of their fringe players, with Sebastian Coates off to Sunderland on loan, Oussama Assaidi possibly moving to Stoke, and Fabio Borini heading to QPR. The Reds have been linked with a move for former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, although that would appear unlikely.

Aston Villa midfielder Karim El Ahmadi has joined Dutch club Feyenoord on a three-year deal, which is the same amount of years that George Boyd has signed up for at Burnley after he moved from Hull, and the Clarets have also picked up Nathaniel Chalobah from Chelsea.

Tottenham are losing Lewis Holtby to Hamburg, whilst Southampton are set to bring in both Dutch defender Toby Alderweireld and Senegalese midfielder Sadio Mane, with the latter costing £11.8 from Red Bull Salzburg.

Hull City have completed a club record deal for Uruguayan forward Abel Hernandez.
