Transfer News Today: Two Surprise Manchester United Exits On The Cards

Double Trouble?

Various reports suggest that Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini and Matteo Darmian could be set to leave the club in the near future.

Midfielder Fellaini has never been universally popular with United fans after signing under David Moyes, and reports in Italy suggest that four Serie A clubs – Inter, Milan, Roma and Juventus – are all considering bids for him this January.

The news regarding Darmian, who only joined in the summer, is more surprising, with the Italian defender apparently being lined up by incoming Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti for a summer transfer according to reports in Germany.

Man Utd are 1.90 to finish in the top four

Ambitious Toon

Newcastle have apparently had an £18m bid for forward Alexandre Lacazette rejected by Lyon.

The French international’s lethal form last season made him a top target for several European giants, but despite a drop-off in form this time around he appears unlikely to join Steve McClaren’s relegation fight.

Newcastle are 1.65 to go down

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly looking at Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey as an ideal replacement for the wantaway Victor Wanyama.

Ghana international Partey, who has scored some crucial goals for Atletico of late, could be open to loan move away from Madrid in January as he bids for more first-team football.
