Hamilton v Falkirk (Scottish Cup)
Hamilton's days in the top flight of Scottish football seem a long time ago. While alumni James McCarthy and James McArthur continue to impress in the English Premier League, Accies are floundering in the First Division.
Having experimented with several different options the addition of St Johnstone striker Stevie May on loan has added some potency to an Accies strikeforce that had looked somewhat anaemic this season. Over 2.5 total goals between Billy Reid's side and Falkirk is available at 1.80.
The remnants in Falkirk's squad of the side that reached the cup final two years ago are sparse but manager Steven Pressley's principles have remained. Pressley has continued to place his faith in the club's youth system (whether his hand has been forced by financial restrictions is debatable) and an attractive, passing philosophy that has seen the former Hearts and Celtic defender earn praise from many in the sport.
Striker Lyle Taylor will offer Falkirk a focal point in attack, with the Englishman having netted 25 times already this season. The Bairns are available at 2.60 to advance to the next round.
Ross County v Inverness (SPL)
The Staggies remain unbeaten in 2013, having recorded an impressive 3-0 win over high flying Motherwell last week. Ivan Sproule's renaissance continued in that win, with the Northern Irishman scoring his fifth goal in just six appearances since moving the move north from Hibernian. Ross County are available at 3.70 to keep a clean sheet against their Highland rivals.
Inverness' 3-2 win at Hearts last week saw them bring a poor run of form to an end, and put them back into second spot by virtue of Motherwell's defeat to Ross County. Billy McKay's return to goalscoring form comes at a timely point of Caley Thistle's season - they suffered the customary blip most had expected to arrive at the Caledonian Stadium at some point this season.
Now Terry Butcher's side appear to have found the home stretch in their efforts to secure the SPL's runner-up spot. Wednesday's 2-2 draw with SPL bottom side Dundee was put down to the new manager effect taking hold at Dens Park, with Caley falling behind Motherwell in the race for second. Inverness are available at 3.00 to be winning at half time against County.
St Mirren v Celtic (Scottish Cup)
St Mirren's Hampden win over Celtic came as something of a statistical surprise; in six clashes Danny Lennon had failed to notch a single point or even a goal as manager of the Paisley side. All that changed when former Rangers forward Stephen Thompson netted what proved to be the winner in a 3-2 victory. St Mirren are available at 7.50 to repeat the trick of beating the SPL champions and ending Celtic's double hopes.
What is certain is that Celtic won't be taking St Mirren's challenge lightly. After dumping the SPL champions out the League Cup at the semi-final stage last month, St Mirren are preparing for their shot to win the League Cup for the first time in the club's history.
Back Hamilton to beat Falkirk at 2.55.
Back a draw between Ross County and Inverness at 3.30.
Back Celtic to keep a clean sheet against St Mirren at 2.30.
