Paolo Bandini's Serie A Betting: Back Bacca To Score On Saturday Night

Saturday

Verona - Bologna

Still the only team left in Serie A without a victory, Verona have drawn more games than they have lost but still sit joint-last in the table. If they cannot win at home to a team like Bologna, one place ahead of them, then this season might already be lost.

This fixture, though, has arrived at a less than ideal moment. Bologna appeared galvanised last week by the appointment of Roberto Donadoni as their new manager, beating Atalanta 3-0. Meanwhile, Federico Viviani, Verona’s most impressive performer this season, remains sidelined by a hernia.

Double chance: Draw or away win - 1.71

Milan - Atalanta

This time two weeks ago, the papers were speculating that Sinisa Mihajlovic’s job was under threat. Three wins later, everything suddenly looks an awful lot rosier in the Rossoneri’s garden, and if the form book is any guide then things are about to get even better: Atalanta have been dismal away from home, picking up just four points from six games.

They have conceded 11 times in that stretch, making this an especially promising occasion for Carlos Bacca. He has found the net in three of Milan’s last four games.

Bacca to score - 2.35
