Juventus – Napoli
Not since 2009 have Napoli claimed three points away to Juventus, but that is what they must do in order to stay in control of their Champions League destiny. The good news for the Partenopei is that their hosts are likely to be short of both star power and motivation, as Massimiliano Allegri rests the players who featured in Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final.
Claudio Marchisio and Alvaro Morata may return after missing that triumph through suspension, and we must not forget that both players scored during a victory for a similarly weakened Juventus side over Inter last weekend. There is a reason, though, why Napoli sit 11 points ahead of the Nerazzurri in the standings.
Away win – 2.45
Genoa – Inter
If Inter still have hope of claiming a Europa League spot next season, then they have Genoa to thank. If the Grifone had simply submitted their paperwork on time, they would now be on course to claim Italy’s final place in continental competition. Instead, that opportunity will likely fall either to Inter or Genoa’s city rivals Sampdoria.
Regardless, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side seem determined to finish this season strongly, and have scored nine goals in their last two games. Hopes for another high-scoring afternoon are only slightly dented by news that Inter’s Nemanja Vidic might miss the game due to a back injury.
Home win and both teams to score – 4.30
