Paolo Bandini's Serie A Betting: Roma To See Off Inter, But Both Will Score

Saturday

Empoli - Palermo

Already onto their eighth managerial change of this season - more than the rest of Serie A combined - Palermo need the newly-appointed Walter Novellino to deliver results quickly. The Sicilians are without a victory in eight matches, and could fall all the way to 19th if they should lose again this weekend and have results elsewhere go against them.

Empoli are better positioned in the table, but their own form has been even more wretched, with a winless run stretching back all the way to 10 January. Both teams are devoid of confidence, and that is showing most of all up front - where they have scored just seven goals between them in their last 10 matches combined.

Under 2.5 goals - 1.93

Roma - Inter

The Luciano Spalletti revolution continues apace at Roma, who have not only won their last eight Serie A games, but scored at least twice in each of them, too. If this were the start of the season, and Inter were still grinding out 1-0 wins, this might have been an interesting clash of styles, but lately the Nerazzurri have struggled at the back and consequently they too have determined to play with less caution.

Goals, therefore, seem likely, even if the Nerazzurri might be short-manned up front with Rodrigo Palacio out and the status of both Mauro Icardi and Stevan Jovetic uncertain. A win for Inter could be huge, bringing them right back into the Champions League race, but there can be no doubt that over the past two months Roma’s performances have been better.

Home win and both teams to score - 3.85
