Empoli - Roma
Luciano Spalletti is expected to bring Francesco Totti back into the fold this weekend by naming him in the Roma team to face Empoli. The club captain was banished to the stands last week as punishment for comments made in an interview with state broadcaster Rai, and is yet to start a game so far in the manager’s second tenure, but this could be an opportune moment for him to return against opponents who have gone seven games without a win.
Roma, in stark contrast, have taken maximum points from their last five matches. Spalletti never won away to Empoli during his previous stint with the Giallorossi, but I will take this match on its own merits - and especially with the hosts missing two important starters in Ricky Saponara and Lorenzo Tonelli.
Away win - 1.85
Milan - Torino
After surviving a trip to the Stadio San Paolo, Milan return home to face a side who have been accommodating to them in the recent past. Not since 2001 have Torino beaten the Rossoneri, and not since 1985 have they done it at San Siro. It seems unlikely that they will do so now, at a time when the results have dipped sufficiently for some fans to begin calling for manager Giampiero Ventura’s head.
Home win - 1.70
