Manchester United remain favourites to land Arturo Vidal in a £35million deal, but may have to wait for another two weeks before they can secure his signature. Vidal is on a post-World Cup holiday and will decide his future when he returns. In talks

Arsenal are in talks with Real Madrid over the £22million transfer of Sami Khedira. The German midfielder, who was forced to sit out Sunday’s World Cup final triumph after getting injured in the warm-up, is also a target for Chelsea, but it is believed the strong German contingent at the Emirates will sway Khedira to opt for the Gunners. Arsenal are waiting for Real Madrid’s signing of Toni Kroos to go through before they get the green light to sign Khedira.

Signed Sealed Delivered

Newcastle have completed the signing of Feyenoord right-back Daryl Janmaat for £5million. Janmaat, who featured for the Netherlands at the World Cup, will replace outgoing right-back Mathieu Debuchy, who will join Arsenal for around £12million this week.
