Mere Forum Chatter

Nigel Reo-Coker is considering options from three Serie A clubs after turning down a new deal at Championship side Bolton. We'll believe the 28-year-old midfielder is on his way to Ital when we see it!

Tabloid Speculation:

Liverpool are set to hijack Tottenham's loan move for Real Madrid's Turkey International Nuri Sahin. The 23-year-old was named Bundesliga player of the year while at Borussia Dortmund in 2011, but his chances at The Bernebeu have been limited since last summer's big money move.  He has been told he can leave for one season to gain experience and it is Jose Mourinho's old disciple Brendan Rodgers who is now close to securing the midfielder's services.

Contact Made:

Manchester United have enquired about Celtic's midfield starlet Ki Sung-yeung, after the tricky 23-year-old impressed club scouts. Known as 'the South Korean Steven Gerrard' the international star could be seen as Ryan Giggs' natural replacement.

Bid Tabled

Cardiff are set to lure Craig Bellamy back to his home town in a permanent deal. The homesick Liverpool forward has been told he can leave Anfield and will return to the scene of his loan move from Man City in 2010/11. The Team GB vice captain is expected to drop a division and take a pay cut to be reunited with the Bluebirds.

Medical and Terms

New Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has been busy since arriving at The Liberty Stadium, and is delving into the transfer market once again with the capture of Israeli forward Itay Shechter on a season-long loan from German side Kaiserslautern. The 25-year-old attended The Swans' friendly win over Blackpool last night and is set to complete a move in the coming days.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered:

Arsenal have taken a major step to bolstering their ranks with the capture of Spain star Santi Cazorla. The 27-year-old arrives from Malaga in a deal believed to be in the region of £16million. "I'm here to win trophies," he announced upon his arrival.
