Manchester City are keeping an eye on Real Madrid’s Isco, who could be open to a move away from the Bernabeu since the arrival of James Rodriguez.
Our view: Isco is a player with enormous talent and would be a very strong addition to City’s attacking midfield, even if it were only on a season long loan deal. The Spaniard played under Manuel Pellegrini at Malaga and would surely jump at the chance of a reunion if he fails to secure playing time at Madrid.
Tabloid speculation I
Liverpool are hoping to hijack Manchester United’s proposed signing of Arturo Vidal with an offer of the same amount.
Our view: Vidal is the hottest property on the transfer market this summer and, with Real Madrid reportedly interested, neither Premier League club could end up with the Chilean. But what Liverpool have in their favour over United is Champions League football, and it’s unlikely that Vidal will want to give that up having grown accustomed to it at Juventus.
Vidal is 1.25 to join United, 8.00 to join Liverpool and 21.00 to join Real Madrid - bet now.

Tabloid speculation II
Tottenham are lining up a move for in-demand Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar, who could cost Spurs around £8million.
Our view: Vlaar’s performances in Brazil have put him in the shop window and Aston Villa seem resigned to losing their captain and best defender. New Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking to offload Michael Dawson and, with his move to Hull having seemingly fallen through, Dawson could be the perfect makeweight for the deal to go through.
Livepool are stepping up their efforts to sign Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea in a deal that would cost the Reds around £8million.
Our view: After missing out on Ben Davies, who joined Spurs, Liverpool’s search for a left-back goes on. Chelsea are believed to be reluctant to sell anyone to a credible title rival, even though they accept that Bertrand is surplus to requirements at the Bridge. Liverpool are also interested in Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, who wants to move to Anfield, but Sevilla are playing hardball and refusing to deviate from their £16m valuation.
Signed, sealed, delivered
Tottenham have completed the signing of left-back Ben Davies from Swansea, with Gylfi Sigurdsson going the other way and returning to his old club. Davies made his debut during Tottenham’s 3-2 win over Toronto last night. "I had never thought or wanted to leave Swansea, but an opportunity like this doesn't come up often in your career,” he said.
