Transfer News Today: Liverpool Ready To Show and Tello

Mere Forum Chatter:

Inter Milan are apparently in a three-way battle alongside Liverpool and Chelsea for the signature of Arsenal and England wing man Theo Walcott. The pacy 23-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at The Emirates and could become available in a cut price deal.

Tabloid Speculation:

Man City are the verge of upping their interest in Liverpool defender Dan Agger. Boss Roberto Mancini is thought to be willing to bid up to £27 million for the Danish international, but Agger is keen on staying put at Anfield.

Bid Tabled:

Real Madrid honcho Jose Mourinho has tabled a cheeky £12 million bid for Man City's Micah Richards. However, the powerful defender, who starred for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics, is very much in his manager's plans at The Etihad Arena and is unlikely to be lured to Spain.

Medical and Terms:

Liverpool have agreed a season-long loan deal for Barcelona's highly-rated youngster Cristian Tello. The 21-year-old Spanish youth international will complete his move to Anfield and join up with his new team mates before Saturday's trip to West Brom.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered:

Out of favour QPR defender Danny Shittu has been allowed to join Milwall on a free transfer. The Nigerian defender returns to The New Den for a second spell having made only a handful of appearances under Mark Hughes last term.
